I demonstrated my Sweet Tart Chicken recipe during the book launch party at the Tattered Cover Bookstore in Highlands Ranch on Saturday. It’s a recipe that has everything I want out of a one-pot meal — quick, easy, delicious, and nutritious — and it contains one of my current addictions: pomegranate molasses. Yum!
I wished I could have fed the pomegranate glazed chicken, potatoes, squash, Brussels sprouts, and mushrooms to all 85+ audience members at the signing, but it was nevertheless gratifying to have such an attentive group asking wonderful questions about healthy eating and making Glorious One-Pot Meals. As soon as my dad shares his photos from that day I will post them here.
In the meantime, you can get the recipe for Sweet Tart Chicken here, posted when I demonstrated the recipe on the local news in mid-December. Please let me know if you locate the accompanying video of the demo on this site. (I have a copy in my queue to be edited and YouTubed, along with the recipe clips from last Friday, but I don’t know when I will have it ready. Not enough hours in the day!)
One of the questions was where do I find pomegranate molasses? I get mine at the Savory Spice shop, but I’ve seen it at middle eastern groceries and Whole Foods. I use it in a few recipes in the new Glorious One-Pot Meals cookbook and it’s always scrumptious.

Ooooooh, I’ve been trying to figure out ways to use that molasses (you think it is still good? Does it have an expiration as long as you keep it in the fridge?). I’m going to have to try this one out. Is this recipe also in the new book? Mine should be here any day now from amazon – I’m really looking forward to it!
What would you recommend as a Brussels sprout alternative in this recipe — I am not a Brussels sprout fan, I must say.
